We go up to a place called Maniwaki snowmobiling every winter and made some really good friends there and one particular couple was (is) from Huntsville. We have since met up with them the last 3 years, did I mention they drink alot! Like beer 30; as in gone in 30 seconds!

So I just emailed him eh and asked him about his town for a bike rally. Joey-T tells me it happens all the time during summer months, big n small groups n most report that they like the riding there(?) with lakes all over the place. He thinks it's a chosen spot b/c it's far enough away from the hustle n bustle but still nice w good and reasonable amenities; lodging/eateries and he overly mentioned good nitelife; bars/pubs/clubs right in town or just outside it. He even said they have a couple of all-nude strip bars. Oh boy!

Well JoeyT didn't tell me squat on the roads for us bikers but he did say "C'mon up, you'll love it!"

So I'm good with that and always wanna see new places, so what if it doesn't have an array of twisty roads, there's other enjoyable rides awaiting for sure. Got passport, KJ is in!

I'm guessing he never found Hwy 518 between Huntsville & Parry Sound .....

There are many 500 series roads in and around Huntsville that should meet your needs. Having said that you should think about heading over towards Haliburton and ride Elephant Lake Road, the Peterson Road & 507 south of Gooderham.

These are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Nice find Bill! :)

JoeyT is not a biker and didn't say there wasn't I just was saying even if there isn't any, I'll be happy with other riding.

We (the fearless pillion and myself) are in. Yet another cross continent road trip... gotta love it! :yahoo:

I've been contemplating it since I have heard. I'd actually like to take my boat more than my bike back to Ontario as the only real thing I miss about the province is the Zanzibar and Georgian Bay fishing.

Met a couple on Roger's Pass a couple of weeks back from Prince George that were on their way home from Saint John's, NFLD. I remarked how long a trip that must have been but he replied they had shipped both bikes out ahead of time and it cost about half what they would have spent on fuel (Mind you they were on HDs). So, I'm thinking about doing a one -way trip. It might be cheaper if we had a bunch ship their bikes.

Hmmm, I wonder if the FJ could pull my boat. :dntknw:

Yeah, that might be a bit of a problem... of course, we could always hitch up an 8 horse team .... :dribble:

Now THAT would be an interesting site on the highway ;)

HS MajBach! I got a 30fter that could be your "yachts" dingy!

That's sum spankn *** luxury there... I'm freeqn jealous as ship!

It was not hard to find since it is me riding. I was on the 518 last summer when I went to the Sportbike Rally in Parry Sound.

Patience Grasshopper. I need to build my igloo now that the normal weather has returned to the Great White North. I plan on a ride to Huntsville next week to scout accommodations. Once the CFR Headquarters is finalized I will be in a position to put out some information of a somewhat official nature.

I plan on a ride to Huntsville

I was out riding just the other day, and I saw the road sign for Huntsville and I thought maybe Bill would like me to scope out some hotels and roads..... and then I remembered I was lost and was no where near Ontario.

That Damn Bungie.....

Bill,

I'm heading down Parry Sound way for a little leaf peeping ride this weekend. Anything you want me to check out?
