Friend of mine from TEXAS, he runs 10.60's in the quarter.

It's Push Mountain in Mountain View Ark.

80 miles in 40 minutes!

They start rolling real good at about 9 minutes and again at about 17 minutes.

Guy in back is on a FZ1

The guy on the FJR runs 10.5xs? That'd probably be a record for an FJR!

Arkansas is so fun. I don't think that was 80 miles in 40 minutes though, that'd be an average speed of 120mph.

I've got a nice video of running Push Mountain on my FJR I watch every now and then, it's such a fun road. Not my favorite road in Arkansas though.

Yeah...he's done a lot of work to it.

I was a little off on the quarter time, his best is 10.64, still pretty fast!

There's videos on Youtube of FJR's at the strip doing 11 second quarters.

He may be slightly off on the time but you can see they were running triple digits a LOT.

No one is averaging 100mph+ on Push Mountain road, no one. One way PMR is only about 35 miles long.

too many forest rats out there in gods country
And there are no deer in CA? I've seen plenty of deer in AR but I'll never stop riding there. I've seen more in CO than AR.

Hrm, must have been the FZ1 rally I'd bet. I've only made one...it's why I now own an FJR...good times, good folks. Most of em anyway.

Looks like real course asphalt out there (or the camera is fooling me eyes). Yes, those speeds and times don't quite match up but they sure sounded impressive!

Thanks for the video and sharing

Generally yes, AR has coarse asphalt. Sticks like glue, but eats tires too. Kind of like riding on sandpaper.

One week until we leave for the Ozarks too ... !

If it was ridden like the Isle of Mann it could be done, but you'd be pinning the throttle and hard on the brakes at times.

total mile to the cabin from video start was 76 miles , ran 80 plus in the straights most of the time . After push mountain it opened up to 140 pace .

through many long sweepers .

10.64 was only 3 passes , 10.70's for the first two . When you ride 9 seconds bikes often as a test rider some can go 8's if they got the turbo/clutch right . A 10.64 is a little slow . If I pushed it harder , launched higher rpms it could maybe manage a 10.50 something .

What Jerry left out is my FJR is 54 pounds lighter than stock , PCV , tuned ( no generic map , but custom ) Aftermarket suspension front /rear , and I'm 160 in full leathers/gear , Leave the bags off take another 26 pounds off my FJR .

Trap speeds were 127 and change with a single 129 mph pass in the 1/4

here are a few pictures of items on my FJR

I guess photo bucket is not allowed here on this site .

I like my FJR very much , and my brother is not happy its Faster than his 09 V Max ( stock though and he gets the early jump but is passed in 3rd around 100 mph ) Albert is also 275 pounds , and 6' 4"

Hey Bryan good to see you back!!

I kinda like the pic you had of the FJR with just the top part of the fairing.

If It wasn't for the radiator just hanging there it didn't look too bad.

I can guarantee you I never went faster than about 95mph on Push Mountain Road.

Yes yes, I know that's not 341, but it's not too far. Actually my first ride through PMR was VERY leisurely and legal. I didn't know the area, and I didn't know that riding spirited on my new DRZSM would mean switching to reserve after about 75-80 miles, which ended up being about a mile into 341. MUCH sooner than normal riding. I didn't know where the next gas station would be, so I was riding VERY leisurely.

I made sure to come back and fill up where 14, 9, and 5 meet up before hitting 341 again.
