You all are invited to ride along with me(via the video) on West Virginia State Route 99 over the ridgeline of Bolt Mountain.

I didn't attend the EOM last fall however I believe some of this route may have been on the ride agenda. I drive this road

quite often and thought I would make a video of the route. There was a lot of fallen rock debris and gravel

on the road during this spring ride.

Bolt never fails to please. I always find it entertaining to watch the cruiser crowd run it.

So when we gonna meet in the middle and take a ride? When being relative to after spring gobbler season!

Was just south of you thru Matewan recently. Original plan was Rt 44 to Logan, 17 to Madison and 3 to Marmet then 60 E, but time was growing short on making it home before dark so opted for due east on 97 instead.

You came "o so close...just 12 miles from me". Had you opted to take 10 east you would have riden just above my place on a new 4 lane road (now don't get all excited...cause it is only a mile long). My place to the interesection of 99 and 85 is 31 miles. Next time you come close give me a shout...I would like to meet you! I'm not familiar with hwy 97 where is that?

Ride safe!

My route west kinda developed on the fly. I did think to myself "I wonder what Windchaser is up to today?" as I passed by if that counts. I am familiar with the stretch of 10 that goes by your place.

97E intersects 52 in Wyoming Co. between Justice and Hanover south of you. It is nothing special ridewise, but offers a relative direct shot to Beckley.

I'll holler sometime. Please do the same if you head east.

Shiny side up.

Oh yes, I am sorry, I should have recogized that. I've have ridden that road several times, it actually takes one by Baileysville Lake. Matter of fact that is one of my "nothing else to do but ride" routes. I can do a loop of Man, Gilbert, Hanover, Pineville, Oceana and back home in about and hour and 1/2. Lookin' forward to meeting up with you.

On top o' Bolt Mountain all covered with cheeseeeeee... ok, really there was no cheese.

Looks like ya'll are hogging all the curves down there, you should share some with the rest of us! ;) Nice looking ride, we will be coming down that way sometime this summer.

Yup, that's it....must be a summer pic as everything is "green"!
That was a pic from '08 OEM that took place in Lewisburg... Although, my bud Jim has taken me through there a couple of other times. Very cool place! Jim tells me that even in the dead of summer, there are places along that road that will only recieve a couple of hours of sun.

Hope to meet you sometime, WC

"that's a 10-4 on that one".....and in the winter months when you can "still get in a ride"...because of the shadows it can get dicy. But, heck....it is one great ride and I ride it often....it is a good place to clear your mind of everything else except what is directly in front of you!
