Caught them in Chicago in 07. The Snakes and Arrows tour is FANTASTIC!!! I've seen RUSH many, many times and thought they had never sounded better than this tour.

A MUST SEE!!!

Saw them in Saratoga last summer. I concur, it was a great show but I didn't get the chicken roasters behind Geddy Lee.

Will have to add that to my concert "to do" list... posting this using my PDA from row 6 next to the stage, waiting for the Foo Fighters concert to start.... YEEEHAH!!!!!

They were Geddy's amps. He goes to great lenghts to come up with something new for every tour. He has had washing machines, candy vending machines, you get the idea. It really threw me when there was a chef that came out and was checking the chickens.......... what a hoot :yahoo:

Different "guest chef" basting the poultry at each show, sometimes friends of the band that live locally. Also, don't miss "The Biggest Fans" Barbie doll group that hangs out beside Alex's monitors. Catch their video under the "Multimedia" section on the webpage.

Actually, I believe that geddy don't like big amps and the image....er, the big amp image. Thus the washers and dryers and rotisserie junk. Just shut up and play yer guitar. Looks like I'm goin to miss this years concert.

Also saw them in Chicago in '07. I agree, it's a "don't miss" show. They sounded great and the set list was great. Sure, I would have like to hear some of the older stuff, but they can only play so many songs in a THREE HOUR show!

BUMP!

The next pre-sale is tomorrow, 2/5. Follow this link to see which venues are included in this one, and to pre-register: CLICKY. Maybe you'll be the lucky winner of the Meet & Greet with the band!

No affiliation, yada, yada, yada, just like the band is all.

Neal Peart supposedly rides between most of the gigs - can't remember if its a BMW GS or RT that he rides, but regardless it'd be a lot of fun to take a road trip WITH the band to SEE the band.

I echo Larry's post. Several of my friends were unhappy with the '07 tour because they played no less than 9 songs from their newest album. Rush played alot more older stuff on their previous 30th anniversary tour but they are definitely promoting their latest release, "Snakes and Arrows," on this tour.

Neil rides a GS and, by now, he's probably on his 3rd or 4th...he puts up big miles. Here is the ride report from Rick Foster (the guy who wrote the story that inspired Neil's lyrics to "Red Barchetta") when he met and rode with Neil last year.
