You guys laugh...but it didn't look like any of those vehicles were stolen!!! :)
Yeah...but...because of the restraint device or because nobody wants them?

Ahh, that is what you think. They look old and beaten but they are all some people have and it means the world to them. People here do not know how good they have it.

I had that same thought. I'm sure that in some parts of that continent ANY running vehicle is a prized possesion and a high theft item.

I'm sure those are their prized possessions. Car insurance isn't all that common there and most people have to save for years to pay cash, so getting a car stolen is a major hit on someone's lifestyle. And trust me, the buses may run on schedule, but they aren't much better than the cars in the pictures. Spent a couple years riding those frickin' death traps.

Trouble is, if you don't chain em down, the Ruskies will pinch your exhaust.

Are you sure thats Russia? Looks more like Manhattan or Brooklyn.
Oh I am sure. I have spend 18 years there. It takes over 10 years of non stop saving to buy one of those crap mobil. And as was said there is no insurance out there. That is why when someone catches you stealing you will be lucky if cops get there first.

ALL of the country, not just some parts.
