Ryza Padded Magnetic Tank Pad

Has anyone tried the Ryza Padded Magnetic Tank Pad (Mag-Knight website)? In particular, I'm looking for something that will keep me (my inner thighs and my special purpose) insulated from the hot tank on warm days? This seems like it may do the trick. Is it effective? Does it mar the tank finish?
