Hey rider dudes and dudettes -
The Capital City Motorcycle Club (2414 13th Street, Sacramento, California, 95818 - very close to the intersection of Broadway and 13th Street) is having a ride from downtown Sacramento to Point Arena on the coast (south of Fort Bragg) on Saturday, Aug, 23rd - leaving from their clubhouse at 8 a.m.
There's a very nearby Starbucks coffee at Broadway & 15th Street for a morning caffeine fix beforehand.
It is expected to be an all day affair - stopping in Winters for breakfast, lunch somewhere at Point Arena (any suggestions?) with dinner somewhere in Napa on the way back.
For those who have not ridden with a club before, be advised beforehand that there is an element of discipline in riding with a club in that it's Road Captain's ride with riders in staggered formation - adhering to a safety first set of behavioral expectations.
I'd like to invite you to visit the club's web page (to familiarize yourself) with its dozens of rides documented in the Gallery section of the site. Those rides were immensely enjoyable to such places as Death Valley, the Mt. Rushmore / Crazy Horse monuments and the Redwoods - all within recent months.
I have an '07 FJR and the Road Captain will be taking his new '07 FZ1 on its maiden voyage - so he'll be keeping the RPM's at reasonable levels.
All riders and their bikes are welcome - as stipulated in the CCMC Constitution (also on the web site). So if you'd like a nice ride prior to the holiday weekend coming up - by all mean - join us.
