I am rebuilding a salvage FJR and bought two seperate replacement hard bags. I want to get new locks keyed for them and was wondering if anyone has done this? It is not in the shop manual but it looks like a hex screw with a little nipple in the middle...any ideas? thanks

Another suggestion, take a Dremel tool with a small bit and grind out the torx security feature. (I actually used a small sharp cold chisel) Then use a standard torx bit.

Good Luck.

once the locks are removed, the tumblers are interchangeble... so If you have your old ones they will just slide into the new ones...

The fastener is a Torx T-10 Security.

I found a set of Torx security sockets at an auto supply store. I think I also may have seen them available individually at Sears.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know if there is a way to get tumblers made to match ignition key w/o having number tag? Salvage bike came with only 1 ignition key and no bags.
