I am sure someone else has said that the IBA is all volunteers and they strictly review each and every piece of paper submitted to them. 4-5 months for a non-sanctioned ride (doing it on your own versus their people overseeing it) seems to be normal. If they cashed the check you will hear from them. Relax.

Hey papa, saw you up in my neck of the woods last weekend by the BP at 275, then a little later going out towards the beach on Manatee Ave. I had to work but wanted to jump on the bike and run around with ya. I am being patient, Mike Kneebone told me that he would straighten it out for me three weeks ago.

Mike said it will be sent out today. He said he forgot to email me back, Ira at the IBA was very helpfull also......and he returns emails quickly. Mike said that the three cert. teams quit looking at the SS part of the ride when we stopped for a couple hours sleep and were 20 or so miles short of the 1000, we finished in the morning before the 24 hours was up. Anyway, the certs are on the way and we should have them as an early Christmas present.

If I could recommend something now it would be to get the full 1000 done before you stop.

WoooHooo! The packet finally came in the mail. Both rides were certified. Melinda and I are both proud members of the IBA. I think I am going to try a BBgold next.

What does the IBA use to verify mileage? Do they use mapquest, that is where I got the mileage, it is like 508 each way, I was wrong in my first post. I will be adding miles because I have to backtrack south to get my start/finish time at the local gas station, that should add 4-6 miles, should come out about 1022 or so. The seat covers came today, super fast service from Alaska Leather. Two days counting Sat. for shipping.
Let me know how you like the alaskin buttpads. I have looking at them at least for the misses anyway.

Congrats Yowser!!! I don't think my wife would sit on the back for more than 4 hours. You've got a great gal there!!!

The buttpads are pretty comfortable, the only problem is the Bill Mayer seat allows my to slide forward out of the position that we paid Bill Mayer to put us in. I will be using it on the bbgold for sure though.
