Saddlesore 1208.3

Well, I just finished the Saddlesore 1208.3 (GPS indicated) in 34 hours. For those of you that haven’t heard about it, you must meet the following requirements… Your bike must have been purchased in the last 30 days and you must use the stock seat. You have to dodge coyotes and foxes and be able to outrun thunderstorms. You must finish up the ride by midnight and it has to be raining for at least the last 100 miles. Immediately following the Saddlesore 1208.3, you must get your name on the waiting list for a Russell seat!

Well congratulations. I realized the need for the Russel seat in bits and pieces :lol:

Nice job!! +1 on the Russell. I did a SS1142 a couple of weeks ago with a Russell and no burn. :good:

Congrats on getting the bike home! :good: Sadly, in order to document a SS1208.3 you must also have samples of at least two tumbleweeds that you exploded during the ride. Pictures of roadkill may be substituted. (polaroid only)

Jeeze, yet another guy doing a SS1208.3 ...yet no pictures or bail bond receipts --uhh, are we supposed to just trust him? Seems the SS1208.3 is as ordinary and common as a gen2 ignition failure now-a-days.

++Seriously congrat's on what must have been a great ride .....and double thumbs up for your fun spirit. New bike, stock seat, rain and a great attitude. Groovy on ya.

It may sound like I had a horrible time, but these kind of trips are the best ones. Sure I was tired and sore when I got home, but it was a great "break in" ride and now I know what needs to be changed. I realize that the stock seat is horrible (for me) on long runs, it would be nice to have an alternative place to stretch my feet now and then, and I think a set of heli bars would help out quite a bit. I also got to meet a forum member (sixpack42) out in North Carolina and chat with him a little about motorcycles. He also hooked me up with a really sweet deal on a Monogo trailer.
