El Professor and I are taking the dogs for a weekend by the Salton Sea, close to Ocotillo Wells OHV park. Rumor has it that we will enjoy the company of several esteemed members of the FJR forum. We are bringing three dirt bikes which we are willing to share with friends. I'm excited to make my two-wheel debut after getting the ok from the doc. Well, generally speaking. He said I could dispense with the crutches. That means ride a bike, right?

If any of you guys would like to join us for an hour, a day or the weekend let me know. Plenty of room for tents and or trailers. We are heading out Thursday morning and staying until Sunday.

Pretty damned cool, Jill. I'll still be in Colorado (forecast is for minus 20 or so Friday night, hardly riding weather) so I won't be able to come south for the great event but, wow, is that nice to hear!

So happy to hear you'll be back up riding, Jill. Have a GREAT time!

Hmmmm. I am getting a new tire for my DL1000 next week. Where will you all be in that area? I'd stay around for a few hours or so on Saturday then head back home. Weather and work permitting.

Take the 22 to SR-86 and turn left. There is an Arco station on the corner. Go about two miles, to the end of the housing. After you pass N Marina Drive, take the next left turn lane and turn onto the dirt. We will look for a spot about a mile from there, but our exact location will depend on what's available. Call us when you get there and someone will come meet you.

Or call John Max, or Lanny.
