Anyone have one of these, or know someone who has one?

I want to add a fuel cell this winter (wanted on last winter too) and this really fits the bill. I was going to try and put something together myself, but I just don't see having the time to do it.
I have One :yahoo:

Let me know if you need any info on it. I really like mine.

Oh, you shouldn't have offered to answer questions. You might regret it. Let me know if you prefer the interrogation via PM, E-mail, or on the open forum, so others can learn as well.

SWEET LOOKING!!!

Hey DON................ that color won't match your bike :dribble: :dribble: :dribble: :dribble: :dribble:

just say'n

B....

Tim and Don,

You guys know that tank's on a GenI, right? (Does that sentence require a comma or a semicolon?)

There are three of us looking for the same thing. A nice GenII tank that replaces the pillion seat and leaves the rear grab rail (and trunk) in place. I've already got an auxiliary fuel pump, so I don't want mine to be mounted that high.

I don't know if JamesK is following this, but I'd be willing to bet he'd be number four.

Do you guys want aluminum or plastic?

I have E-Mailed back and forth with Terry at Sampson a few times, and he stated that the same style for a Gen 2 would not be a problem.

the one from Sampson is advertised as keeping you just under the 11.5 limit set by the IBA for official events.

The one pictured will hold 4.8+ gallons? It doesn't look that big. When are you getting yours? What does it cost? When do we get to see photos? Is there a group buy possibility? What colors are available? What should I have for supper? (no wife tonight)

I just bought a Givi, and all the additions to go with it, so I wont be able to think about affording a fuel cell until the winter. (Just like last year)

I will be MORE THAN HAPPY to organize a group buy if there is any interest in doing so.

Lets get going with that thought.

I'm in for one, who else? I want to get a rough number of people interested before I make the phone call to Sampson. See the link in the beginning of the post for the normal price, and we should be able to bring it down from there depending on the number of people we can get.

I have sent an E-Mail out to see if the manufacturer is interested in a group buy deal, and what they might be willing to do.

Oh, and please no references about past Fuel cell group buys. Lets keep this above board.

I followed that link to here: <Link>

$565 plus $40 S&H ??

I'm out.

That's enough talk about this now. I've got other problems. I wonder if one of the attractive little neighbor ladies would make me a sandwich... My wife has fresh tomatoes in the garden. I wonder if the neighbor ladies would make me a BLT.

Definitely interested ....but dependent on the price. Joe's price, although not out of the norm, scares me a bit. I'd like to see what the group buy can do in terms of savings.

Murph,

That's not my price. That's off The Sampson website.

Full disclosure statement: I've got a bunch of parts out in my garage that are the beginnings of a similar tank. Sampson's price would have to be pretty low for me to drop my little project and let them make one for me. Take any comments I make about price with a grain of salt.
