Time out:

Okay, game on.

Ok point taking... Sorry mate... I do fill though that our police do get a bad rap for doing a very difficult job.

I always carry a donut with me. I present it to said LEO upon contact, and that seems to distract him from why he stopped me.
Just make sure that if you go through Vail you have crossants. When I worked there we did not eat measly donuts.

Now in Grand County Colorado donuts work. And no it will not help if you tell them that you know me on your way to NAFO if you get pulled over. With your luck I will be the one stopping you.

Grand County is cool, but there was a mom&pop donut shop in Dillon, CO that beat them all. I know: I have years of eating the "breakfast of champions."

Hey Greg,

I bet donuts never distracted you while you were in uniform... :)

Ample bosums on the other hand...

;)
This reminds me of the Sweet Young Thing who was pulled over for exceeding the posted speed limit. As the officer was walking up to her car, she unbuttoned a couple of buttons on her top and slid her skirt up slightly. Rolling the window down,s she gave him her best smile asking "You don't give pretty girls tickets, do you?" The officer responded "No. Press hard - there are 4 copies!"

As far as double-yellow passes, there are places where double yellow passes with quick, maneuverable bikes are perfectly safe - but I'm well aware that the viewing police officer will most probably not share that opinion...

It's almost unnerving how many posters on this board are current or former members of the LEO community (whistling, eyes upward).

Yes, my fair city (San Diego) is entering the height of tourism season, and the 8 (which my apartment door faces along the Hotel Circle section) is quite busy lately with red and blue lights of all varieties. I frequently hear the short burst of siren used to get your attention and tell you to "pull over".

If you're on a major highway this next month, do some sanity checks, the boys are back in town. I've been letting a flat front keep me out of the mix this last couple weeks, sounds like it's just as well.
