Just wanted to say I enjoyed the San Jose show and finally got to check out the FJR in person. I couldn't get any decent photo's because everybody and their brother were swarming around it like flies. The FJR was definently the hit of the Yamaha displays and the show. I worked at the show for two days and got alot of input and heard alot of good comments on the bike. Got to meet Highlander who stopped by our booth and hope he didn't get too wet on his way home as it started to come down this afternoon. Thanks for stopping and saying hello Highlander. Looking forward to some ridin time in 06! Take care, Painman. <>< :D

I was there as well. It seemed to me that the Yamaha booth was always very crowded. Of course, they were right in front of the entry door and that didn't hurt. The FJR was doing very well in the crowd drawing area. Too bad Yamaha has this thing on PDP. I did meet a friend there who brough his riding buddy who was interested in the FJR untill the PDP program was explained to him. He said that he would wait until that program was over with.

I wandered around for a few hours on Saturday enjoying the show. I sat on all the dual sports just because I had a wild hair..... maybe some day I'll add one to the garage :D

Yamaha's location could not have been any better, walk through the doors and the FJR was a few feet away. I think I should have been on Yammie's payroll, I wore my FJR hat and shirt and answered numerous questions from people! :)

The video demonstation in the BMW booth of what ABS can do in wet weather should make anyone a convert, " locking " both ABS brakes going 55mph in wet conditions and stopping amazingly fast and in a straight line. ( 'course our FJR brakes are even better  )

Good to meet you Painman, and sorry I missed ya Bikeffects

Highlander that was excellent information on ABS brakes, now maybe all the doubters will understand how good they are under adverse conditions and how much better than the rider is at trying to do the same thing in stopping. I will take my ABS on my 05 ant time Why be afaid of technology?

weekend rider

Bike Effects was the only FJR forum member I spotted, but he soon disappeared into the crowd. I really wanted to take a demo ride on the Buells, but punked out when the rain started (I brought jeans, mesh jacket without liner, and open face helmet :blushing: ).

I was window shopping for a sport bike. Favoring the R6 and GXS-R750 so far. The Yamaha folks damaged the black R6 on the spinning pedistal display. Maybe I can get that one at half off MSRP. :D

Talking to the Yamamama rep and he said the pdp program will end 31st of Dec. but will still sell FJR's until sold out. I too was wearing my FJR jacket and should have been on Yamaha's payroll for answering questions about the bike. I really enjoyed doing it though. I have to credit this board and all the good advice gained here by my fellow riders. Ride safe, Painman. <>< :punk:

Was there on Friday PM. The Manufacturers were well represented. Myself I usually go for the venders. I really like the demos, novelties, shirts and other semi useless, or semi usefull goodies. I was disapointed in the vender turnout this year. A bit lower than last year. I think they should move it back to the Cow Palace. Now those were some shows to my taste.
