I didn't make it out to the mail box on Christmas Eve, but yesterday when I was about at my limit with the in-laws, I took the dog for a walk out to the mail box, and much to my surprise there was an envelope from the Iron Butt Assoc. What a great Christmas surprise. I did my ride while going out to CFO this last September, so they turned the certificate around in only about 3 months. That is WAY faster than I was expecting. :clapping:

Now it is time to start planning for a BBG1500. :yahoo:

Trigger, this self abuse thing is addictive isn't it.

Congradulations on the ride.

Congrats Trigger!

When did you complete your ride and how high is your IBA number? I saw one as high as 32,000 the other day. That's a tremendous number of new rides in the the last year.

I completed my ride on September 20th, and sent in my paperwork within a week or so. My membership number is 32631.

Congratulations :yahoo: :good: When you see that package it kinda reminds you of when Ralphie get's his Orphan Annie Secret Ring in "A Christmas Story" but the good feeling last a lot longer.

Doing Iron Butt runs gives me a great excuse to buy more farkles.
Congratulations on your certificate and your ride. Completing my first IBA ride opened a whole new segment of motorcycling for me and led me down a path of massive farkles and big money spent on gas, hotel rooms, tires, Polaroid film and rally entry fees. Welcome to the money pit  er, I mean, the IBA. I wouldn't trade it for nothin'.

Congrats TriggerT!

Man, I am still waiting on mine from back in June 07. Maybe I better call or send an email to check on it.

I'm hoping to do a 1500 miler this year as well.

For what it is worth, I never received ANY notification from the IBA regarding the status of my certificate. It just showed up the other day.

Right, my last one just "showed up" earlier this month.

I think the email notifications where a courtesy created by the huge back log of certifications the IBA was having to wade tru.

Smoke, I wouldn't worry about it. I did my ride in Nov 06 and still nothing. (8 months ago it was waiting to be signed by Mike). Patience my friend.
