I am hoping to get up to Americade this year. When I firm up some plans we can try to make arrangements for a meet and greet. I have done quite a bit of riding in the northeast through the years and never get tired of the area.

Thanks to all for your comments.

I started trying to map out the locations for my under seat accessories (Starcom, Fuze block, Air pump etc) The electronics for the suspension take up a chunk or the tray under the front seat,

"Yamaha only imported 150 ES models to the country in the first round."
That number seems low but then again I'm not sure how many rounds they will order over the year.

Congrats on a well refined upgrade!

Initial ordering period. I was told any dealer that ordered one will get it in the second round if not the first. So how many come stateside depends on how many the dealers order. Which I hear they are being gunshy about.

I put a deposit on mine in mid Sept, right after the first round order went in. I got #011. I would think that the second batch will arrive this spring.

Your bike must have been on a slow train across the U.S. if you ordered in Sep and only got it in late Dec. My ES is #021 ordered three weeks prior to Thanksgiving and delivered to the dealer on Dec 12. Good luck with your new ride. Just a reminder, make sure the bag lock torx screws are red loc-tite'd. Most dealers fail to do it!! While you at it check the fender fasteners and any other exposed fasteners the dealer may have overlooked.

Probably because the bikes arrive in this country at the California ports. Then they have to make their way east via truck and/or train. All the dealers had to put their first round orders in by mid Sept. I would assume all of those bikes arrived in the states on the same boat in early Dec.

Unfortunately, I have a couple months of winter to check and recheck nuts and bolts

Here's hoping mine is coming in soon. Still waiting. Deposit's been made. Then again, I'd likely not be able to pick it up till Feb 14, so I shouldn't be too antsy.
