I thought I posted this ride, and I know its the day before the event. Several guys are leaving as a group tomorrow Saturday April 22 at 8am in South Orange County, at the corner of El Toro & Valencia in laguna hills at Starbucks. Some are going for a one day trip, returning saturday afternoon, and the rest will be staying over night and returning sunday morning like myself. Heres the link below. If anyone is going, and would like to ride down with us, please come early and have coffee with us. We will be taking hwy 5 south to hwy 8 east into Yumaa. About 200 miles one way, 4 hours tops one way, and after lunch some guys will ride home. Should be a nice day, temps very warm, probably in the 90's in Yuma.

Sounds like fun. I can't even count how many times I have ridden right past the prison as I travel back and forth between between my home in Casa Grande, AZ, and San Diego where my parents are.

You may want to consider riding through Julian before hitting I-8. Very nice ride. And last week I took S1 for the first time south of Juilan, enroute to I-8. Great views on that road, and elevation reaching 6000 feet.

Wish I could join you all, but its off to Santa Clarita for me tomorrow. *Sigh* I hate riding through L.A.
