I've seen the Sirrius Stilletto 2 unit. So I'm wondering if anybody here has a Satellite radio/MP3 combo unit on their FJR.

I want something like this that I can pipe into an Autocom comm unit.

What unit works well on the bike?

How did you mount it? Handlebars/tankbag?

I've got XM Radio being feed from my Garmin 2730. I have it setup this way so I only have one audio source for my MP3 payer, XM Radio, and GPS. The MP3 player is limited to only 700MB, but honestly I mostly listen to XM while one the road, so its not a big deal to me.

As for mounting it, I have it mounted on a stem stand between the handle bars.

The Zumo 550 can also access up to 1000 MP3's using its SD card slot. This is handy for those rare occasions when the XM reception isn't too good - usually inside deep canyons, under a heavy tree canopy, or north of the 60th parallel.

I have a Stiletto 2. I use it at work, in the truck, in the gym, and on the FJR.

For the FJR, I have a vehicle cradle in the cell phone pouch thingy on my tank bag. I have a Powerlet cigarette lighter adapter mahoogy attached to my battery tender pigtail for power to the cradle, I have the antenna mounted on the brake fluid reservoir (with a patch 'O velcro), and the audio out is routed to my Starcom unit under the seat.

When I get on the bike, I just pop the Stiletto into the cradle and it powers up on its own. The Stiletto still sticks out of the cell phone pouch thingy a bit, but as long as it doesn't rain I'm good to go. If it does rain, I keep a Zip-Lock baggie in the tank bag. I like to keep it close at hand so I can shut it off to talk to other bikers since it's kinda odd to yell at the Starcom to mute it. Makes people think I'm weird or something.

I've been thinking of moving the cradle to the handlebars but I've been too busy riding to bother to mess with it. Also, with the Stiletto in the cell phone pouch thingy on the tank bag, I can't change channels while moving.
