We lost our lovable beagle this week after a short(thankfully) but terminal liver disease. He was a major part of our family and leaves a big void in our lives. You pet owners know what I'm saying.

He shared 11 wonderful years with us and gave us great joy. It was harder to see him go than some human family members. Dogs sure can get woven in tight with our heart strings.

Rest in Peace, dear little friend.

I miss my Gaby (gone 12 years this June) more than I do my father.

Yes, indeed, I know what you're saying.

My heart aches for you and yours

What a sweet-looking face! I feel for you...every time I lose a pet, I heartbroken for far longer than is reasonable.

I have three chichuahuas. Two are rather old and half blind and mostly deaf, but are otherwise happy and no pain other than being a little stiff-jointed. Lucas will be 16 later this month, and Julia will be 14 in July. I love them both and really hope their time will come naturally.

My wife and I have no children, our pets fill any void, They are ALWAYS happy to see us. and I for sure know how you feel. Our hearts are with you. I do not regret any moment spent with the "Kids"

Goldie, 11, Rott, bone cancer

Sadie, MinPin 7, brain tumor

Buster, Rott-mix,7,Stomach tumor.

Our condolences Russ. It is an impoverished soul that isn't touched by their pets.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know it's hard loosing a family member.

I lost Lady to pancreatic 2 years ago, July. At 13 years old. She will always be in my heart.

Looks like Buddy's sister. Another lovable Beagle

Sorry for your loss. I have 2 labs that are/have been the joy of my life, and they are getting up there in years. Its always tough to handle the loss of a family member.

I'm sorry for your loss. The only down side to a dog is that they don't live long enough. Our lab is getting up there, 7 yrs now, hopefully she has quite a few more in her.

We just added this one to the family

7wk old boxer pup for the wifes b-day :) Looking forward to a good life with her!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your pet. My wife and I were driving home from dinner tonight talking about our dog that we lost just about a year ago. We still think of him a lot, but now we can smile when we do.

So sorry to hear. Every time I pull in the drive I still expect to see the pooch we lost 6 months ago.

Your beagle looks like he was a real character.

We've had Boxers for many yrs; we generally always have two.

Non-pet owners don't always "get it" about how close you get to your critters and losing one sucks. With their relatively short life span it's something you just have to do from time to time, but it sure don't get any easier..........

Sorry for your lost, I know how you feel, We have no kids and our dogs are our kids, we had to put one of our labs down last July, He was 14 our Female is 13 won't be too long till she is gone, I hope not for at least 2-3 yrs.
