30mg of Valium per day AND a script for Oxycontins (not to mention the muscle relaxants)?
I doubt any doctor that's not on the take, and is aware of what BOTH together can do to your perception, would write both scripts, my guess is that he was seeing more than one doctor.

I'm wondering where Steve gets this from?
Alcohol is the only drug that can kill you on a cold turkey withdrawal, and it's pretty readily available if you want to relapse.
"Hubbs has several charges involving possession of a controlled substance and use of a controlled substance dating back to 1999 in the 9th Circuit Court. He also has two arrests in Teton County for driving under the influence, one of them for driving under the influence of a controlled substance, circuit court clerk David Baker said. Baker didn’t know how those cases were resolved."
I hope the judge weighs this heavily when he sentences him.
