I was impressed by the license plate attached to the rear rim.

There is no logic needed when dealing with fashion.

Practicality has been sacrificed for style but that's OK if it makes you happy.

Some of them look completely un-rideable with the plastic panels less than 1" off the ground.

There must be some reason they are pouring so much $$ into these things and not a motorcycle. May be some sort of licensing or insurance issue.

And... they've gone to the DARK side? Why? Excessive tire wear?

Some of those are pretty cool. Not something I would ride necessarily, but cool just the same. Guess they just work with what they have around.

Actually, I think great pains were gone to produce a bracket attached to the rear suspension to give the appearance that the license plate is attached to the rear wheel. Anything that can make people ask "how can that possibly work?" Sort of like how for a while, hollow rear wheels and drive by rollers was all the rage in the chopper world...

You are right.

You get additional pics if you click the link at the bottom.

The bracket shows up in one of them.

A lot of engineering went into these scoots! :clapping:

To me pimping out a scooter makes as much sense as pimping out a Gremlin.
Oh, don't start that....

I think it was about 72/73.. Gremlin X. Levis edition..

Dad traded a Olds Tornado in on it....

I was a kid....12 or so...

Damned thing was a hot rod...

I swear it'd pull the front end off the ground when stomped....

I'd love ta find one ta pimp out.....

:)
