scratched speedometer cover

I cleaned the instrument panel covers with plexus and a paper towel. when the light hits at a certain angle I can see scratches. Can I polish it out and what should I use in the future for cleaning.

Nix the paper towel. Fibers in the paper will scratch. Soft cotton cloth or microfiber.

That said....now that the damage was done....you can get scratch remover kits. Something like the Novus #1, #2, #3 kit.

Yup - people forget that paper towel is simply ground up *wood*. You just took a tree branch to your speedo with predictable results.

Any auto store can sell you cotton or microfiber cloths.

Ive used the Novus scratch remover on the plastic fairings and it does a good job of removing light scratches.
