Hey Guys

Thank you all for the thoughts!

It was a great ride! Super day and good company. Ray you need to heal up a bit buddy! He was still pushing us with a broken leg!

325 miles no problem. 1/2 mile from my house....oops

In Amherst we have a large five way stop. I was turning left. To my left where i was going there was a guy in the left turn lane. When I was in front of him he started into the intersection. I guess I have one of the special FJRs that are invisable. As he was about to hit my left side I straightened up to avoid him. Maybe 10-15MPH. 10 feet later I hit the curb and went down. Not having seen me he went on his way. That did not end well for him! The folks in my town stepped up, called the cops, gave them a lic number and he now is the proud owner of a ticket and soon to be my med bills!

Two broken ribs and a couple chips in left foot. In the big picture no big deal. In my life it will be a problem cuz I still work 50hrs a week and this will take a while to get back at it!

All is good! I have a super wife helping and good wishes from the Forum to help me heal!

Travel safe and I will catch you all the next time I see you!

T

Steve,. Thanks for the update. So glad it wasn't worse. Heal up quickly my friend. Glad you got some help from the locals. Ride like you're invisible because to some you are. With all your riding experience, you probably made the best out of bad situation.

Only Steve could make that report into an "aw shucks, taint nuttin".

It sounds really bad, and I hope you heal quickly buddy! I rode with Steve one time a few years ago...man, he can ride!

Same with me Wheatness, I rode with Steve and the Mrs a few years ago. Except for making his wife woozy, we had a great ride. Heal up bud!

Not me , Joe.

It's the guy who rides thru SEO at break neck speed, all day long, laughing in the face of death. Gets half a mile from home, jumps off the bike, throws himself on the ground, watches as the bike falls over, calls an ambulance, crawls home, and hands the wife a sob story and sheezam. A sudden recovery and a new bike just like that.

My hero.

I like happy endings. This qualifies.

One of these days you SEO dudes are going to post up a weekend ride and Pants is going to go rogue and just show up. Seriously, I'd enjoy flogging it with you guys!!!

Steve and I are going to someplace North of Chi-town Thurs. morning to pick the "New-to-Me" bike up. I will be expecting him to post up an album pic's by Friday morning.

Yes the 2014 has landed in the garage and I am spending my down time online looking for goodies for the bike. Gray Ray made it happen. Never would have picked it up without his help!!!

Should be back on the road and back to work by the end of this month. Ribs are doing OK but the foot has been a bit slow in healing.

All is good and love the new ride!!

I can't get pics to load but you all know...its the red one!

Thank you all for your thoughts!!
