Hey guys......

I need a little help looking for a new bike for my wife. I would like to find a Honda Hawk GT. I may have to go with an SV 650 but the Hawk is just cool. I am open to suggestions as well if you have any. My wife is kinda short (5' 6") so seat height is an issue. Plus it needs to be somewhat cheap. Her old bike was an EX 500. It worked well but there isn't much cool factor to it.

If you see any smokin deals let me know!

Just FYI, you do know the GT ain't got much oomph to it, right? My stock SV is a lot quicker than my GT ever was. Though I still miss the single-sided swingarm, at least I got a 1st gen SV with the nice trellis frame. And Suzuki must have beat the current SVs with the biggest ugly stick they could find :(

Wife's bike is an SV650 and she is short too. I haven't ridden a Hawk, and yes they are cool, but the SV650 has much newer technology, easier to find parts, etc. Plus I'm finding I love having it as a "second bike" when I hit the local twisties. We got ours for $2500 - it's a '99 with 9k miles on it, one small ding in the gas tank else sparkling clean.

Yeah, I'd be happy with a good deal on an SV. I've ridden them in the past and was fairly impressed. A GS 650 would be a good bike too.
