For those of you who are riding, watch out for loose loads and Christmas trees on the highway. I was coming down from Apple Hill where a lot of Christmas trees were being sold today, then strapped on the top of cars and stashed in the back of pickups. Remember these guys are generally secured with bailing twine if anything. Saw a couple on the road. Keep your line of sight and watch for flying objects!

Unbelievable number of cars with trees strapped to the top with no rack or paint protection at all. Coming down through Placerville, CA the traffic from Apple Hill was backed up for about 2-miles. Lane splitting through there was like running between two trains loaded with Christmas trees. Beautiful day. Got 20 lbs of Mutzu Apples and a 6-pack of Jack Russel Scottish Ale.

Cheers.

Perhaps a bit salty. We should run up there sometime and try the Strong Blond.

There is a dog on that label too.

I almost hit a surf board in the road two weeks ago. That was a first for me. I was in heavy traffic, then all of the sudden in the middle of the road, perpendicular to the center line, was a medium sized surf board. Whew.

Around here, we have all these wannabe rural dipshits going late in the season to get loads of wood. They pack the beds of their trucks with split logs up to about the roof of the truck and fail to tie anything down. Then they tool down the road and drop logs on the freeway and backroads.

If you hit one of those with your car, it will cause huge damage. If you hit one with a bike, you may get to meet God...Idiots.
