I may spring for a custom seat but first I just had to try to mod my stock seat. I paid an upholstery shop to do some trimming to the foam to move the pocket (the lowest point) back away from the tank. I have not had a chance to try it yet, but I have my fingers crossed. I am 5'-10" and like to sit back away from the tank, but with the stock seat I feel like I am slowly sliding forward which makes the inside of my legs and other parts feel pressure and chaffed. Some seat padding had to be removed to do what I wanted, so the seat will not be as soft as before. I have heard others say that the seat shape is more important than the amount of padding, so we will see. Has anyone else taken this approach, and if so, how did it work out ? Thanks, Jim
