Fun times with a great group of folks.

Ellensburg at the appointed brrr o'clock meeting with Beamer Reamer and the north end bunch. Panman has the group in awe with his mad story telling skillz.

...this would be a preamble to rat dodging on Saturday. Only one close encounter but one is always on high alert for moving brush on the roadside.

Nice Digs!

Fire...and more.

Pit stop in Fossil for a pre-lunch, lunch. We were back an hour and a half later for the main course. :yahoo:

Riding on Saturday took us on a 210 mile loop visiting some tasty roads in central Oregon. Twickenham between 207 and 19.

DSCN1585.jpg

The house on the left of the photo has a private air strip just around the bend. Only a couple large ranches on this road.

Back where we came from, not much more than 1 1/2 lanes wide. Center stripe...we don't need no stinkin center stripe.

Post office in Antelope Oregon.

DSCN1588.jpg

to be cont'd...

Not much left in these towns, kind of a shame. The ladies from the food bank rock-a-thon at the Fossil lunch stop said there is nothing for the young kids to do. Once they graduate from high school they have to move away to find work. Most of the little towns are drying up...Sad.

More from Antelope.

Some of the most beautiful land I have ever seen in Eastern Oregon this is side road that goes From ORE 207 back to Ore 19 towards Fossil. Normally I just blast through and watch the road, this got my attention and we slowed way down and took in the sights.

Saturday night we were met by Carl and Jonnie when we returned. Was good to see him up and about, even though he has a long ways to go with his recovery.

My favorite. Descending into this canyon was incredible, beyond words.

I'll ad a few more.

Here's some headed down to Yakima on the Canyon Rd (821).

All and all a great three days.

At the Fall Tech meet we are going to be discussing what to do in the event if something like getting seperated happens agin. If we come up with anything worthy someone will post up.

Am I the only one taking notice that this ride report raves, brags, rants and raves more about how wonderful it was, the absolute best ever, AND...

Dave Pops The Pie Man Niehart was NOT present???

:)

Was that simply coincidence???

Obviously the wind was blowing in the wrong direction the entire ride, or the smell of pie would have overcome the threats of Mrs. Black to bring Niehart scurrying to the herd.

Most of the vid clips I took for this ride are up on youtube. There will be a few more uploaded tomorrow. Taken with the HERO Wide Angle camera mounted left side fairing right under the mirror. Most the time riders you see ahead of me are AuburnFJR and Beamer Reamer.

Ron - I poked around youtube and checked out your videos and enjoyed them. Definitely going to have to put a June trip together to re-visit the roads and curves, especially one particular left hander. Colleen and I both rode along with you for quite a few miles of video. Hope to see you this next weekend at Bryan's.

Since I've pretty much toured all of Washington, I think I'll head Central Oregon-way next year. It looks pretty cool!

Right now I intend to be there.

I was regretting missing the nice weather on this years ride until I saw the ice on the front tires. Nice ride report and great colors on the trees. I miss you guys. Maybe work will mellow out next spring?
