Back in Oct 2007 I purchased a new 07A, the first vehicle I've ever purchased new off the showroom floor. Haven't put a lot of miles on her but the miles she gave me were a sheer blast. She has always given me a smile. Due to time constraints it seems I will be putting her on the market.

2007A 1 owner.

19,816 miles.

Yamaha heated grips.

Red-lined only twice, each accidentally for less than 1 sec.

Never dropped.

Never smoked the tires whether parked or riding.

No tank bag has ever been on the bike. Sad to say no hot chick has sat on the tank either.

No accidents except bumped the fairing with my truck and there is a 1-inch crack in the paint. Also put a ding at the exhaust end of the pipes.

Recalls done:

ECU (altitude surging).

Ignition module.

Recent maintenance:

Replaced fluids: radiator, brake, clutch. Cleaned fluid reservoir.

Serviced forks.

New Avon Storms.

Polished & waxed paint.

Replaced rear and turn signal bulbs.

Greased fork bearings.

Synched throttle bodies.

Cleaned brake calipers and housing.

Greased final-drive axle.

Greased front & rear wheel axles.

Farkles:

Cycleport kevlar pant and jacket.

Cycleport rain liners for above.

Cycleport kevlar gloves.

Throttle body synch tool.

Tire change tools.

Marc Parnes wheel balance tool (used only on 2 tires).

Penske rear spring & shock w/ adjustment.

Randy's horn harness.

Fiamm highway blaster horns.

Spider wiring harness.

Salamander bar-ends.

Wild Bill peg mounts.

Kuryakyn adjustable foot pegs with rotating brackets.

Datel voltimeter (still in the box).

Helibar triple clamp.

Fenda extenda.

Cee Bailey's headlight covers (not 1 scratch on the headlight plastic).

Hyper Lite brake and turn lights on mounting bar.

Seat re-foamed by local vendor.

Mini air pump.

2 sets of the Yamaha tool bags.

1 set of NGK iridum plugs still in box and 1 set new in the box.

Color-rite body and wheel-rim paint.

Bike stand made from black pipe.

3M high-visibility tape placed strategically - most don't see it unless I show it to them.

Cee-Baileys clear non-flip screen.

Rifle clear screen with tuning block.

PC III.

Yamaha extended warranty.

Please don't post that you want such and such item because I want the thread to stay on the stated topic.

Should I try and sell her with all the farkles or separately?

Any idea of actual street value with all these sold with the bike?

Feedback on nat'l sale sites like cycletrader.com?

Thanks!

You'd probably be able to get $7500 for the bike alone, maybe $8200 with farkles. Probably a bit more when riding season returns. There are hundreds of FJR's for sale now, and the economy is bad so value has gone down. The farkles will only fetch about 40 cents on the dollar so you really want to part them out separately. Sell all these separate if you want to get your money back:

Cycleport kevlar pant and jacket.

Cycleport rain liners for above.

Cycleport kevlar gloves.

Tire change tools.

Marc Parnes wheel balance tool

Penske rear spring & shock w/ adjustmentSalamander

Put the bike back to stock if you want to get your money. Just put the stock parts back on. You'll open up the market to a ton more buyers, instead of ones that just want the bike how you have it setup. If you price it reasonably I'd expect to sell in 4-6 weeks. Price it at $9000 or so and it will be many months.

Absolutely-Not many are interested in someone else's farkles-half the fun is doing it yourself. I removed all mine when I sold my 05 and was actually able to use most on my '08. Additionally, if you wanted to work a trade-in with a dealer, they would rather have the bike stock and certainly won't pay for extras.

i agree stock is the way to sell bike you have good farkles and i think you could sell fast for more than 40 to one just my opinion

Recently sold an 07 with 13.2K miles in exceptional condition with few farkles for $8500. I had listed it on craigslist and cycletrader.com for $9000. It sat for 60 days with a number of interested callers but no takers. I dropped the price to $8500 and it sold within a week. That's in CA and we are a 12 month riding market. If you are not desperate for the funds, wait till spring and list.

I agree to sell the farkles separately but leave a few things on it like the heated grips and the taller windshield. That way the new buyer thinks he is getting something extra.

Good luck

Feck! Wrong thread!

+3 on the return to stock. If you're selling, IMHO leaving a few strategically placed farkles makes your bike a little more desirable than stock. Things that most change like the seat and bar risers. But leaving a long list of farkles on the bike is leaving money on the table. I'd take them off and sell separately. I'm trying to resist asking you for some of your farkles now  I would return it to mostly stock and put some detailed pics of it with your ad and post it just before the riding season. Sounds like a nice bike, good luck on the sale.

I am restraining myself from posting a wish list here ... but I will also chime in for going mostly stock. But I disagree about not being able to sell the farkles ... there are a few I wouldn't mind talking to you about.

The following are Not Farkles - just sell this stuff separately:

Cycleport kevlar pant and jacket.

Cycleport rain liners for above.

Cycleport kevlar gloves.

Throttle body synch tool.

Tire change tools.

Marc Parnes wheel balance tool (used only on 2 tires).

Mini air pump.

2 sets of the Yamaha tool bags.

1 set of NGK iridum plugs still in box and 1 set new in the box.

Color-rite body and wheel-rim paint.

Bike stand made from black pipe.

The following are easily removed farkles - or farkles worth enough to make it worth removing them.

Sell all of these separately (you'll got a good amount of $$ for some of these):

Salamander bar-ends.

Wild Bill peg mounts.

Kuryakyn adjustable foot pegs with rotating brackets.

Datel voltimeter (still in the box).

Cee-Baileys clear non-flip screen.

Rifle clear screen with tuning block.

PC III.

Randy's horn harness.

Fiamm highway blaster horns.

Cee Bailey's headlight covers (not 1 scratch on the headlight plastic).

Penske rear spring & shock w/ adjustment. (worth the effort to remove)

Helibar triple clamp. (worth the effort to remove)

The following are the true farkles that may be too difficult or invasive to bother removing for what you'll get for them.

Your call if you want to take the time to do it or not, but don't expect to get more for the bike because they are there.

Spider wiring harness.

Fenda extenda.

Hyper Lite brake and turn lights on mounting bar.

Seat re-foamed by local vendor.

3M high-visibility tape placed strategically - most don't see it unless I show it to them.

Yamaha extended warranty. (not a farkle but can't be seperated from the bike)
