Selling the Bike Without the Russell?

If you were to sell your bike and have a Russell Day Long, would you buy a stock replacement seat to sell with the bike so that you could sell the Russell separately for top dollar?

If you have time, you'll probably make out best by selling the Russell first in exchange for cash and stock seats. Then sell the bike with the stock seats on it.

Whether or not it's worth the time and effort is up to you. If you need to sell the bike fast, the Russell doesn't detract from the value at all but it's rare to find a buyer willing to pay a premium for a bike with a Russell.

The seat is in excellent condition but I'm not sure I want to sell it yet.

I think I'm ahead of that game, I bought a Russell and still have my stock seats. I also have the Mustang seat I had on my now sold Harley FXST. I suppose I should try to unload the Mustang now that the Harley's are getting ready to come out of storage.
