The 08 book won't work, as the 09 model has black wheels instead of the silver wheels of the 08.

Andre, I really do appreciate the offer, but members on this forum have agreed not to purchase "pirated" copies of the manual. I have been told by other forum members that Yamaha, to date, has not made their service manuals available electronically. I value my forum friends and I would not want to offend, and buying one that Yamaha produced, is, in my opinion the right thing to do. If I am wrong about this I would appeciate if someone would chime in. Ride safe.

Noted Aroostook.
Newbi at this and wasn't aware that this may not have been a legit distro of the manual.

Cheers
If thats the worse mistake you ever make you'll be golden. Welcome to the forum.....good group of guys here....beware of Busta though! :clapping:

Here is rule #9 from when we all signed up:

9. FJRForum.com is aware of only one legitimate online source for service manuals--that being Yamaha at this link. Promoting piracy or referencing spurious manuals that are too cheap to be legal on eBay or other websites is not allowed. (meaning you can provide evidence it's a bonafide source to an admin if asked) Buy a frickin' $90 manual for your $14K+ motorcycle. This also goes for Yamaha technical bulletins that are copyrighted.
That being said, as aroostook said, if that's the biggest mistake any of us ever make, we should all be just fine.

FWIW, I have a 2008 manual for my 2007, and have notices some very small differences, but nothing really to worry about. I bought mine used off another guy for 1/2 price. Aroostook, you should have no issues if you buy that manual.

Correct.

We value the times Yamaha has listened to this forum and resolved issues on the bike including ticking, altitude sickness, ignition switches, and others. Blatantly ripping off their intellectual property isn't an image we want to project....and won't.

Thanks.
