Dave said OM is right.
A rare occurrence, my brother.

airboss, I used to think those in-line fours were the perfect setup,

but now I wonder if vertical twins might not be the groovier configuration.

(Maybe ****?)

Yea know, iff'n you stood them shoulder to shoulder you would have an inline four. :dribble:

Before i purchased the 2005 fjr .I was riding a 75 z1 plus 3 more in the garage 74.75. 78 kz 1000 . Dave made 2 big errors if he wants it to be correct

1 the rims are not correct

2 the pipe is not correct

From the 2 pictures its a 5k bike add the correct rimes and pipe 8 to 12k

as for age 52 is the number . The germans gb, uk zee heads do it the best .The black kaw is shown with the supercharger built in germany . They can build it any way you want it

Price tag 16k with a stock engine and larger carbs . way to high , Did the math and can build the same bike with a done up engine and better paint for around 10k

Really? The Sexiest Sportbike? Was reading Patent1's 05/04/12 post on the Ducati849. Yea it's a sexy Bike, sexy like a pre-med $20 lap dancer dosing on Adderall. The FJR on the other hand, She's sexy like a refined high dollar "escort" with masters in polisci. Better suited to my increasingly arthritic knees.

DeltaKappaZeta, I'll see your ante and up you one SuperDuke.

Ok, neither bike is mine. Both beauties belong to a friend of mine, but he's a good friend and I can ride either anytime I want. I don't because I'm scared to drop either of them. The RC8R now has full track bodywork on it though.

Oh yea, and the RC8R is super sexy, but for ANY street riding, I'll take the superduke instead. I cried watching one of our other buddies sit on that RC8R in heavy traffic.

Sorry, even with sexy bikes we are all too ugly for sexy women to stand near us. I'm the best looking of the bunch by a long shot so that should tell you something.

They're both stunning but the pipes on the duke ruin it for me.

And i know what you mean about RC8R in traffic - I'm good for 2 hours on the open road before I've got to stop for some recovery time. I dont even bother if there's any traffic... The downside of being old and fat. :sadsmiley02:

Thankfully my son footed the bill for this little pleasure :laughingsmiley:

For me a Sportbike is a tool if it does everything else right and happens to look good thats a plus....

A tool?....anything used as a means of accomplishing a task or purpose.... fair enough. I prefer to to view my rides (motos/bicycle) as an existential mechanism of self charged with facilitating a higher spiritual plain, achieved through a personally intimate relationship of mutual understanding and respect for man and machine.......or just a great way to tell the rest of those four-wheeled "tools" Bite Me. My bikes, they're my babies. Please don't tell my wife..............Be Good, Be Safe.
