Unless you guys make a hell of alot more money than I do, you can't afford the maintenance costs if you ride one like this. They are a single purpose machine and the initial purchase price is nothing compared to the long term lease. You don't ever own it, you just rent it. The worst of it is the lack of trade in value. When you get rid of it, even if it looks better than when you got it, it will cost you to part with it. Installing accessories may be fun but you don't get that money back either.

Patent 1

If your going to pull the trigger on a new "Duck" you better buy 3 of them.

Then you can use the other 2 for parts to keep the third one running.

Just sayin!!

Dastardly Dave #65 Fastrax

Tesi, YES!!!! But I like the 2d more than the 3....

Maybe a bit over the top, but kinds Starship Troopers-ish, no?

Sexiest sport-bike?

Bike...shmike...it depends on the MODEL photographed with the bike.

Annndddd....long-legged blondes, oh my!

Can you say, "High Maintenance"? How about, "Leave you stranded"?

For all the reasons Redfish Hunter posted, you don't actually "own" one, they own you!

B-b-b-but they ARE fun to watch.

"just the one that looks like a moving violation of all that is holy!!! "

We have a blonde winner!!!

Now, if were talking bikes, the 848EVO Course is still the current champ:

Since I gave some of my opinions on the model astride the bike (I don't know much about Kawasakis) I thought I might be obligated to answer the original question. Aprilia RSV4 would be my choice.

I'm still partial to the Tesi.

I actually own a Tesi 1D!!!! It's styling is a little dated, though, which is why I would prefer a 2D.

Of course, it's a 1/12th scale plastic model....

**** Ducati.

If I wasn't so old, and I wanted to go fast, I'd get an R1.

(Rossi prolly wishes he'd stayed with Yamaha, too.)

what about that incontinence thing?

*note to self - always ride in front of OM*

Wow, sexiest or the one we'd most want to ride? Ride where? It all depends. Having gotten to ride my buddy's super duper sexy RC8R on the street, I can tell you that it was nowhere near as fun as you'd think. The thing is lightswitch everywhere. Lightswitch throttle, brakes and turning. Not an ideal street bike, but holy hell, would it be fun at the track.

If we are talking bikes I'd lust to own and ride hard, I'd say that right now a Triumph 675 or BMW S1000RR are at the top of my list. That said, for pure *** on wheels I'd have to agree that the Duc 916 and the MV Agusta F4 with the round pipes just do it for me.

No way I'd have any of these in my garage as my only bike, especially not living in flat land...but I'd sure add them to my garage if I could become one of these people who makes too much money.

Of course, for sexy and rideability and flogging, an Aprilia SXV 5.5 would do the trick for me.
