SH 16

I have an 06 AE while stopped at a light code SH 16 came up on dash and will not start. Help please any ideas?

Manual refers to a " stuck trottle position sensor. Malfunction in ECU."

On all non-AE bikes Fault Code 16 would be a TPS problem, but the OP has an AE with an error code that starts with SH_xx which means there is an error with the AE electric shift system. Waiting for one of those AE guys like Mcatropy to stop by with their secret AE decoder ring....

go in diagnosis mode (hold select and rest 10 sec)

the first menu allow u to test the sensor
