Never "assume" with your splines. Specify that you want them serviced with each tire change if you don't do it yourself. In the long run you'll save a bunch of headaches.I bought the bike used 12/03 with 2500 miles. I never checked with the dealer but assumed the guy did the 5600 mile service.
