You guys don’t mess around!

Did you sleep with that smile on your face last night Sherri? Better yet… did you sleep at all? It looks like it fits you and your personality juuuust right. I’m super-jazzed for you and can’t wait to see you pull up on it for a group ride! :yahoo: I’ll drive down if I have to for that picture. Have fun breaking her in and showing her who’s boss.

Congratulations, Sherri!!!

LET THE FARKLING BEGIN!!!!!!!

Congrats on the new ride Sherri!! Ironic thing is that Scab and I stood and looked at that same bike at the motorcycle show in Atlanta and we both agreed that we would Love to go buy a couple of those for our wives.

Have fun and enjoy!!

We considered other bikes, but sticking with one maintenance shop when I am so happy with them seemed to make sense. Therefore, the competing bikes need to offer a very compelling benefit, and they didn't.

Also, the FZ6 seemed to be the most modern version of a close to standard sitting position bike around. The Kawi 600R and Suzuki Katana were also evaluated and the supportability of the products as a whole pointed to the newer Yamaha design that is backed by a proven maintenance department in our area. Value and single cylinder roughness eliminated the BMW F650FS. I think the Yamaha FZ6 is ideal for all these reasons (for us).

..taking bets now that at WFO, Andrew is riding b&*$#, uhh, err, 'pillion' behind Sherri!

Congrats Sherri; what a great first bike! obtw, nice smile too!

What a beautiful bike! All shiny and red. It reminded me of that feeling you got as a kid on Christmas morning when you went downstairs and there was a shiny new red Schwinn under the tree. So there's just more evidence that motorcycles bring out the joy most adults haven't felt since being a kid.
I want one too.... :(

LOL! Mine was a shiny blue Ninja under the Christmas tree, or rather beside the Christmas tree.

Congrats on the new bike. There are not many feelings that can compare with the thrill of the first firing up of your own, brand new bike. The first is even better. Wishing you many happy and safe miles.

When are you guys riding south? or do we have to ride north (or both) to meet you?

You know, I was supposed to be down there last month!

Congrats. That is one BEAUTIFUL M/C! I love the FZ6 after test riding one at WFO. Interestingly, Karen is interested in taking the MSF course and I just sold my Triumph T-Bird to get something smaller. I have been wrestling with the issue of a starter bike for Karen and I have been on the fence between something like the FZ6 or a dual purpose M/C like the Suzuki 400 sm? Anyway, I would love your thoughts on the subject Sherri. :clapping:

Congradulations Sherri! Your smile in that picture says it all! I remember the first bike I got..it was so beautiful! I'm several bikes down the road from that first one but you always remember the first ride!
