Wow, what a great ride this was, really felt like the bike was more nimble. :D

Decided to remove shield to test the difference having one on made.

This ride was great! in the beginning, as I worked my way out to the country never thinking about the bugs, giant bugs darkness would bring, it has also been unseasonably cool at night here in Kentucky the last few days. So not bringing the alter ego jacket cover for the mesh was not wise. It's funny how a half hour test ride turned into a four hour journey. Just can not get enough of this riding!

Found some more nice roads here, stumbled upon 1060 and 395, little to no traffic on these nice sweep filled roads. Unless a million bugs slamming against your shield are considered traffic :angry2:

I could hardly see, the bugs seemed to be finding their way into the helmet as well, had a few to snack on.

FWISW, IMO, I think I will leave the shield on! Unless I only going for a day ride, in the sunshine!

YYUUUMMMMM! I find that the big black grasshoppers with the red spots are the tastiest!!!!!!
The grasshoppers are thick around here right now. I went out for a short 100 mile ride and it took me a couple hours to clean all the grasshopper parts off my wheels, lower fairing, radiator, boots, etc.

They taste really good after they have cooked on the radiator for a while....nice and crunchy
