What do you guys normally use to put on your tires to keep them nice and shiny. I used to use regular Armor All but that actually dry rotted my truck tires to the point where they cracked and started leaking. I haven't used anything on my new tires and they are showing it also. I have heard that you don't want to use anything petroleum based just for that reason.

Thanks for the help...

Ya, I remember when I got my first bike too...

Umm... they're tires.... they come in contact with the ground and get dirty, its kinda what they do.

I would advise not putting ANYTHING on your tires. Bikes already have small contact patches to the gound, why would you want to risk making them slippery if you didn't have to?

I think shiny tires look g.. oops  , that's right, my wife told me to stop saying that. I wouldn't put anything on them.

Actually, its for my truck. I dont put anything on my bike tires (for that reason). I like to take alittle pride in my vehicles and like them to look nice.

Thanks for the help so far...

Oh, TRUCK tires - now I understand.

This must be for your dirt bike.

Mud. Just keep it fresh and those tires will stay nice & shiny.

don't put ANYTHING on them. it will make them act like they're on ice/grease. we had some guy in a show-and-shine dump a decked-out gold wing (with high-zoot custom paint) withint 6" of pulling out of the judging area. purr-ZIP-SPLAT!!! he'd treated his tires (after pulling in for the show) to make them "look good".

Tire foam for my cars and truck. Easy, just spray it on. I use a mix of motor oil and antifreeze on the bike tires.

Ok, go easy on this cagerr. Most auto care brand names offer products for this. decoratice affect. Mothers, Armourall, Amsoil are good names with good lines.

Raising a question like this on a MC forum will get you iatterntion than you likely want. Att least you put in a relevant grouping. Get then tires shiney and leave them ther and go go ride.

Crisco!! I always use Crisco. I love the stuff. I use it for everything. Tires, Dash, Sometimes I melt it and put in my PSD, Makes it run smooth. Heck just the other day I rubbed a little on and went for a ride. Damn near slid right off the bike but man did I get a great Tan.

Makes Tahoe tires pretty, I use it after I spray clean the tires.

question: do you use dino motor oil, or synthetic? i've heard if you use synthetic when mixed with the antifreeze, you can't go back to regular old dino.
