Look nice on the shelf, and seem to fit my noggin well, undecided about the sun visor aspect, who is wearing one out there and observations?
I wouldn't buy a helmet that didn't have an internal sun visor as I find it such a useful facility.Look nice on the shelf, and seem to fit my noggin well, undecided about the sun visor aspect, who is wearing one out there and observations?
Cool Beans, That sounds like a lot of Fun. I have a Scorpion EXO 100 Half Helmet and I'm digging the **** out of the Visor. So, a visor on a Full Face Shoei Flip Up is going to be Awesome! h34r:Just got my Neotech and its cooler, quieter and more comfortable than the 1100.I love the flip down visor and there is plenty of room for glasses.
I'm doing the Kyle Petty cross country Charity ride next month so it will get a good test .It's a great "big group" ride, it's fast and no stop lights with the police escorts. The ride raises $1.5 M for 2 summer camps that serve severely handicapped kids. NASCAR celeb riders draw big crowds who donate @ gas and lunch stops. Great feeling!

A couple vendors at the International bike show were selling the neotech for 25% off. I was not really looking for a new helmet but was curious aboutWhere's the best prices?
A week or so ago I got an email from Iron Pony advertising them at $530-$540 (or thereabouts), depending on color. Now their price is $50 higher like most others.
That's a LOT of money for ANY helmet. Especially when I can get an HJC modular for $165. I love the Shoei X-11 and Multitec helmets I have, but won't be buying any more their product at the prices they are going for. Yikes! That's a lot of money for a DOT only helmet (yes I'm aware that there are (apparently) no modular helmets that are Snell rated).
I bought a Neotech last month. I am very happy with it. It is the only quality modular helmet I have found that has room for a boom mic (without windsock) between my face and the chinbar. The sun shield is nice. It comes with an antifog pinlock faceshield. It is light and quiet compared to my cheaper modular helmets. Mine is bright yellow, not much style but very visible.I tried out the Multitec yesterday and I am very happy with it.
It is a relatively quiet helmet, top ventilation is outstanding, the lower ventilation did not have the flow as the top, but very good all around. I have never experienced as much ventilation with any other helmet.
The fit for me was excellent, no hot spots and very well balanced.
The flip down visor gets an excellent rating from me as well.
In summation the Multitec is a very comfortable helmet, the the balance and the ventilation system along with the flip down visor will make the long excursions very comfortable especially in hot weather.
I am glad I made this purchase even though my wallet isn't.
