so i decided to get a haircut before leaving in the morning for SFO. i was heading north on hw 51 and was slowing down at a stoplight when this white cadillac in the left lane decides she wants in my lane. her front bumber missed me by about 6 inches or less. i turned my head , looked back and there she was that damn close to me.

here's what i did wrong:

1: i didn't speed up to try and get her to miss(even though she did miss me)

2: i kept my head turned and watched her as she swiped right by my sidebag

3: i didn't curse or flip her off( mainly because she had kids in the car with her

other than that the ride was good but way too short :D

Dude, you were one bird away from being a meat popcycle. I'da given her the finger.

See what I mean.......

Odot is like the comment police, and always first on the scene.

I can't wait to put a name and face together.

I might be wishing I just kept to the name..... :D :p

i'm ready for a group beer at SFO

what was amazing was that in that instant it seemed like time had slowed to a crawl. i'm looking down and back, there is her bumber( white plastic, not very clean), her hood (white and also very filthy), then looked thru her windshield( middle-aged, hair starting to turn gray, gold rimmed granny glasses)

front passenger seat( teenage boy with black hair and acne) back seat right side( 10-11 year old girl , blonde hair) back seat left side ( 6-7 year old girl with brownish blonde hair very messybut still cute kid )

when i saw the kids in the backseat i just couldn't bring myself to react. it was like i was frozen or something.

and to tell the truth i didn't really feel scared or worried, it was like i knew she was going to miss me

I had a similar problem with a buick in Florida 2 days ago. We were on I75 just outside of Tampa and following my bud he being in the left side of the lane and me staggered on the right and this blonde starts changing lanes into my lane while I am at her front left fender. I just did a quick counter steer to the left of the lane and because someone was in the lane to my left I could only move to the left side of the lane I was in. She hit her brakes and I was surprised she wasn't rear ended. She practically stopped dead on the interstate. I looked in my mirror and she was at least ab 1/8 mile bake just a couple seconds later. I kinda feel sorry for her since It wasn't too close just about 2 feet when I counter steered.

All you had to say was

"Buick" and "Florida"

Anyone who has lived there can tell you that those 2 words spell trouble, especially for motorcyclists.

Almost as dangerous as "Cadillac" and "Florida"

Screw that. I had some idiotic soccer mom who was obviously paying more attention to her bratty child, cell phone, and latte than driving her car realize she almost missed her exit. She cut across two lanes of traffic and damn near took me out. While I was slamming on my brakes I managed to hit the horn button and let my 120db horns let her know what kind of a ****** bag she was being. When she finally got onto the off ramp and pulled even with me she mouthed "Sorry" to me which I responded with a finger and a "F#CH YOU!" which she just might have heard considering how loud I said it. Did I care that her spawn was in the rear seat of her Excursion? Hell no. Frankly I'm hoping little Timmy asks his mom why the motorcycle guy flipped her off. Maybe just maybe she'll have to explain that mommy was an idiot and she deserved it.
