Shout out to all the Military Veterans here at FJR Forum, there are a lot of us!

Sergeant Don Stanley, United States Army, 1968-1974, 5/32nd Artillery.

Yes indeed, thanks for serving our country. Although I didn't serve, my father and 3 uncles served WWII. My daughter served 15 months in Iraq. I thank you all again!

A special thanks to the family members also, they lived thru it too!

Thanks to all that served and are still on active duty and all that their familes have sacrificed

1983-92 US Navy EM1(SS)

Long time ago. SP5 Admin Specialist with the Secretary of the General Staff, 8th USArmy HQ/UN Command, Yongsan, Seoul, Korea 1970 - 71. Great memories of Seoul and points south, not so good of the DMZ.

Although I could not get accepted into the Navy, I did grow up in the military. Thanks to dad (retired, E7-USGC 1954-1974). (Getting the chance to grow up living in a lighthouse was a special childhood) Thanks to all those who serve (or have served) and God bless you.

. Me too.

1978-1984, US Navy, MM1/SS Nuke, The 'Jolly Dolly', USS James Madison SSBN 627 (G). Last 2 patrols we were severely short of EMs so I cross trained and got to sit in air conditioned maneuvering at the SPCP instead of sweatin' my ass off in the Engineroom.

Many thanks to all of us. In those days nobody except old guys really gave a crap.

Thanks!

Grandfather served at the end of WW1... Father served in Korea... I served during peace time ( Iran hostage crisis of '79 ) home port of Yokosuka, Japan onboard the USS Lockwood FF1064... Nephew did two tours of combat in Iraq (Marine Corps)... and my oldest son is on a bus as I type with his Marine Corp recruiter for his physical.

My prayers are for all! Past, present and future. May we always be mindful of the young men and women who stand watch over us!

Never served but sincerest Thanks to those that have.

You are better men and women than I.
