Another Coastie! I have 12 1/2 years in so far. Just got orders and will be deploying to Bahrain for a year.
Started my career with the Coast Guard during Viet Nam as an Electricians Mate. Figured that guys like Neihart would do a better job packing a rifle. Later they dropped the rate and made everyone a MK... Was a Mustang Officer. Some of the finest people I ever met, worked for, and worked with were in the Guard. The Coast Guard was truly a family... Good luck overseas and you have two beautiful little girls... Rich

NAVY: CWO2, ANGLCO "Mud Sailors"

Worked mostly with Marines. Marines may not have the best table manners. And you wouldn't necessarily want a bunch of them at your daughter's wedding. But when you absolutely, positively need the United States Marine Corps there is no viable substitute.

Thanks to all past, present and future Veterans

Just retiring after almost 22 years in the USAF. Started as a Aircraft Hydraulic Systems Technician at Travis AFB, CA working the C-5. Finished as a flight line Production Superintendent on the C-17 at McChord AFB, WA. Here is a pic from my retirement ceremony on 3 September. I am officially retired as of 1 December. Thanks to all who have or are serving!

My father served in the Navy during WWII (aboard a LST during Normandy invasion). My nephew (Captain) is currently serving in the Army in Afghanistan with a artillery division. I served in the USAF from 1978-1982 as an air traffic controller, stationed at Griffiss AFB in New York, and Kadena AB in Okinawa, Japan.

Thank you to all past, present, and future vets for everything you do...for us.
