Great day today boys. (And FairLady) Great ride. Great weather. Good food.

Life is good...........

.......except for the ride home. :(

I had no tunes, GPS, or radar detector on the ride home. :angry2: Beemerdons made me ride HIS farkle poor 03 home while he rode my 04 FJR. The poor wittle pathetic ******* was ascared his rear tire was just too UNSAFE to ride. He wanted to stop in Yuma and either rent a U-Haul, or wait until Tuesday morning to get a new rear tire.

For crying out loud! I did the old fart a favor! For the first time in his life he got his money's worth out of a rear motorcycle tire!

Hell, there weren't even any belts showing when we got home! That tire still has another 1,000 miles to give! :D

Next time all you Peeple's Republik types need to come on out here to the desert.

Great Ride Yesterday with a Great Group of Guys! Many thanks to Fairlaner for promoting the event and Dave for leading it.

Weather was perfect, the food was good at both the Crest Cafe in Hillcrest and the Rongbranch in Julian. The best part was the great roads selected and the fantastic scenery we enjoyed. Many enjoyable conversations with outstanding FJR pilots!

And many thanks to SkooterG for being muy loco enough to ride a dangerous tire. When we stopped for fuel in Yuma I had made the decision to seek out a M/C Shop for a new rear tire to be mounted there on Tuesday AM or if I couldn't find one in Yuma: I was going to put Lucy Liu on a U-Haul and take her back to Chandler. Thank God their is a Patron Saint for Idiots!!!

SkooterG not only rode this rear slick to off ramp near my house, he said after The Wheel Shop in Phoenix puts the new Michelin Pilot Road 2 on at 1000 today (that was ordered last week), that he'd take the old tire and leave for Mexico on it!

sounds like a plan,i like my women weather worn...lol
dj bill: Really enjoyed meeting you and riding with you. Loved the paint scheme on your FJR! As I mentioned at breakfast, I will start organizing an FJR Forum ride of The Devil's Highway - Route 666, staying at the Sportsman's Lodge in Alpine, AZ.

I too had a great time. Thanks for letting me tag along. I will look forward to the next adventure with you all. I'll see if i can post some videos of our ride soon.
