Well folks it's been a fun ride, but, It's time to pull the blinds and lock the doors on it.

Thanks to all who have supported my attempt at self sufficiency over the years, but I can no longer dump money in a bottomless pit..

Gave it a good shot, but the target was to far away from me weapon..

Again.....Thanks to all here for everything you've allowed me to do. As I said it's been a hoot. :)

Wow, payroll taxes are now in your future???? Good to hear, I need my SS checks to be regular. :)

Sorry to hear this, Bust. Always difficult to give up something you enjoy.

And SacMike ? This is for you :headbonk:

(from Sheila :D )

Looks like I waited to long to get another plaque. Sorry to see you have to bag it but you will land on your feet and move on.

B, it's not closing the doors forever... it's just realizing now is not the time and that's not a bad thing. You are honoring what is right for you guys at this time... your work is beautiful and perhaps with the forward momentum that you're working on, this will come back as a reality to bring back to the forefront. I know I have treasured the items created by you at ALW and they will be just that much more special knowing that they are a rare commodity. :)

Barry will you still be doing your work as a secondary source of income or are you selling off your equipment? I and I'm sure others are still looking for your assistance with projects??? Sorry the timing and workload could have been better for you Will PM John

you will always have your manwhore skills to fall back on.
Now this right here is why dj bill is the most popular individual on our entire FJR Forum, Bill can always see the silver lining on any dark cloud! Excellent work there, Bill!

Sorry to hear this Barry. As they say, one door closes, another one opens, be ready! BTW, the great weather for riding out here is back, just sayin'. ;)

Never met you, Bust, but feel like I know you from my time on the forum. Always enjoy your posts and wit.

I was a Branch Manager for a trucking company up until about 3 years ago when the company went out of business. I was terrified but found another company to sign on as a commission agent. Making more money now than I did as a manager and working about 3 hrs a day in my pajamas. A lot less headaches also.

Hopefully good fortune will come your way also.

Cheers, Monty :)

+1, For another door to open you need to close one, you never know what's going to show up for you to open next, just trust the universe will take care of you :)

Barry, I find my self-employment is a similar state, and am even contemplating a move. We'll see, but I do understand how it feels to put years of work and hope into a project, and see it evaporate faster than you can build.

So very sorry to hear this, Barry. Situations like this always remind me of that old Jason Robards movie A Thousand Clowns. While we all have to do what we have to do the compromises are never easy to face. Hang in there and please take some comfort knowing how much your work is appreciated around here.
