Also makes it easier to working rear end of the bike. Wheel removal, brake inspection and pad replacement and various other nit picky things.Removing the bags makes it a whole lot easier to wash the bike once in a while, and the bike looks pretty cool without them. It is worth understanding and doing. As other have said, turn the key 90 degrees, lift straight up on the handle and the bag retention on the under-side of the bag will release and you can lift it off. Just do it. When putting bags back on, just hold the bag by the handle to support the weight and keep the latch open, then guide the front alignment tang over the rubber covered tang projecting from the subframe member next to the exhaust. This is what makes the bag line up, so as you close the handle you can feel a positive engagement with the latches. Once closed, the bag will not be able to pulled away from the bike, if it moves, try again. Thanks for the Help, and when picked up from the dealer they had no idea how to remove the hard bags. By the sounds of it I'll just leave them on there as don't want to take chance of losing them. Purchased bag liners so should be good to go!!
Cheers!!
