I am looking for a side case reflector for my left side (kickstand) bag. It sacrificed itself on my ride home last night to protect my side case from a car that would not share nicely. Any one have one of these sitting around they don't need? I will pay shipping or meet you and pick it up. I am in San Diego and make frequent trips to Simi Valley for any potential pick ups.

Thanks guys.

Not sure if this is what you're talking about - 5JW-W9345-00-00. If it is, they're available from Zanotti for about $4.50.

I am looking for the reflector from the side case. I am trying to find one for free that someone has removed from their bike since many have removed them.

This is the Yamaha part number ABA-5JW72-21-00 REFLECTOR (LEFT)

Sorry, I picked up the wrong part number from the fiche because the reflector doesn't show on it. Didn't realize you were looking for a freebie. Will returtn quietly to my corner now.

Can the side hard saddlebag reflectors be taken off? If so are the just bolted in from the inside, and what do you use to cover the removed reflector? Thanks

I secured a pair of these from Sir Fairlaner. Now I have something to do during tech day. There are two ways to get them off. 1. Drag it down the side of car that won't share lanes nicely (whoops) or heat it up from the inside of the bag to loosen the adhesive and pull it off with vise grips. There are some threads covering this if you need more info.

No problem. Thanks for trying to help. You may come out of the corner in 5 minutes.

Thanks Johnny. I was going to say I could try taking mine off and you could have them, but I see you are already hooked up. I will look into the treads to remove bag reflector.. minus the "dragging down the side of a car" :)

From a while back, with a good link that might help:

They are self adhesive backed reflectors. There are *LOTS* of how-to's for removing the reflectors and emblems. This >>LINK<< contains most of the common suggestions.
Or my technique. No car needed.

You can also remove them one at a time by backing through your driveway gate.

I hear.

Cheese dik...

I'll send you something to fix it

I sold mine, plus the rubber mounts, to a member who shall remain un-named several years ago for just shipping costs.

Didn't get as much as a fuk U, back... :glare: :(
