I'm loving absolutely everything about my new to me 2015 FJR ES. Just did a complete wipe down and clean up after 900 miles since I picked it up last week. With the side cases replaced is a little jiggle acceptable? I have followed the manual on removal and assume the replacement is just the opposite. Of course the handles are in the closed position. It's pretty minor just wondering.

giggle when she talks, wiggle when she walks..

Seriously, while a little wiggle is acceptable, you can reduce it to nothing.

There's a rectangular hole in the frame where the top lug locates. At the top of this hole is a layer of rubber, which the lug should press into.

If you glue a piece of sheet rubber, say cut out of an old inner tube, up into the hole to thicken the original, that will make the bag mount tighter.

I've done this successfully on my bikes.

Exactly. I did this same thing to carefully tighten things to zero play. I don't want any movement there at all. Works just fine, I just had to be careful not to overdo it because the latch handle struggles to go over-center and if it does, it is difficult to unlatch. Plus, I don't want to risk jumping a tooth on the latch ratchet.
