The Skagit Valley (east of Mt. Vernon) turns into a vast carpet of daffidils, tulips & other flowers in the spring.... most of which are commercial farms.Damn, that's nice! Must be flowers for sale.
I'll check with both sides later in the week and post back. Most of the fields appeared not to be even planted yet! But I'm not an expert. I only found that one field of daffodils. There was a large commercial garden that was blooming, but I didn't stop there.
Sportsguy, if you and the wifey want to take a meandering trip up that way, I'd be happy to go with you. Out of Skagit Valley, I want to head up the Chuckanut via the backway near Bayview Park, then over to highway 9 via Lake Whatcom.
Weather permitting, of course.
Thanks for the beautiful picture. That area was close to home when I lived just across the border in Abbotsford and I have great memories of many meandering roads like the Chuckanut and along Lake Whatcom. Most of the fields appeared not to be even planted yet!
