Skene wiring

I just took my Skene P3 brake lights off my 2008 FJR, and am going to put them on the new-to-me 2016 FJR.

So, my question is: there are three wires from the Skene controller (IQ160), Black (ground), Red(12V switched), and white (brake light). On the 2008, they went to black, red and purple, respectively.

Anyone know what they should go to now, since the wiring is totally different now.

Where exactly did you wire this up on the 2008? I do not see any purple wires associated with the brake signal on a 2008 wiring schematic.

On the 3rd Gens, in the wiring bundle that goes to the rear brake light housing, Black = ground, Blue/Red = switched 12V to the tail lights, Yellow = 12V to the brake lights

Fred - you're right. The purple wire was added on - it actually tied into the yellow factory wire.

I may look into the admore solution in the future. It looks pretty tidy.
