Best of luck to you and all the rest of the NUT CASE (I'm just jealous) form members that are riding the IBR this year.

Ride safe and have fun if thats possible.

Good luck Greg,Hope the scoot stays together for you.

Wish you and all the other forum folk a good ride and home safely.

I'm sure your bike will be fine. If not, you can borrow Iggy's electrical tape...oh, wait,...

Good luck dude!

Remember if it falls off, you didn't need it....
Don't tell that to John Bobbit.
Ha! that reminds of a conversation I heard recently.

Guy one: You're girlfriend is kind of wacked.

Guy two: She's not that bad.

Guy one: No, she's messed up, I'd be afraid she'd go Lorena Bobbit on my ass.

Guy tow: ****, I'm not worried, she'd need a chainsaw with a full tank of gas, I think that'd wake me up.

:)

Greg,

All will be fine. Don't worry and have some fun. Worse comes to worse, then Smitty can fix it for you!!

Best Wishes.

Update: Skooter just called... He left 5 hours late, just in time to hit the 107 degree blast inferno and a minor glitch already occurred... He swatted his cellie off its velcro mount from his tank bag. Flew off into the weeds, but he managed to find it nice and beat up. Still works, though!

Says his mount is running strong after the repairs. I don't think he needs to worry about mechanicals - just hizzown, clumsy-ass sef!

Good luck Skooter.

Try to stay on the bike this time. :p

And Don't throw away the gas receipts :derisive:

Let's chat about your new engine buzz at St. Louis.... I'll be there tomorrow night.

I'll be there as well as I type from my motel room in Lincoln, NE. Easy drive tomorrow to St. Louis.

My FJR has carried me on several BBG rides so since Linda is coming for the duration we loaded the bike and took it for a BBG in my truck. Made it with time to spare. Stayton to Lincoln, 1680 straight through miles from 5:30pm last night until just before 5pm today.

Scooter, see you in St. Louis. Hope, for your sake, the dealer is correct.

PS. Dale, tires came, thanks.

Just what I did on my way to WFO! Except it was at my first fuel stop, noticed it missing a couple of miles down the road, went back, no phone. The station called my house a couple of days later, saying they found it on top of a gas pump. Someone must have set it up there in the few minutes I was missing it, and I really only looked around on the ground and asked inside at the counter. Picked it up on my way home, all is well.

One thing's for sure, Skooter will go fast, if nothing else. I just hope he keeps it upright and rides a smart rally....smart may be hoping a bit too high

As long as his path is Playa-free... he should be ok...

Good luck Skoot!

Take care and remember it's a long rally, you don't have to win it in the first 24 hours. I'm betting if your bike holds together you'll be top 10 easy.

Well, to answer the question of this post...I'd have to say SkooterG came in on top in a BIG way! Although, the Rally seemed to be kicking everybody's ass with the non-stop rain...you persevered and dished it back out.

Great Job Skooter! :clapping: :clapping:

Good job Scooter! Were proud of ya here at the forum and you represented us well on the FJ. It was fun to follow you guys and glad you all made it back safe. PM. <>< :D
