What's up with the Blue room? I keep getting this;

IPB WARNING [2] mysql_connect(): Too many connections (Line: 131 of /ips_kernel/class_db_mysql.php)

Anybody else having problems loggin on?

I care...but that's about all I can offer. I get the same thing. Seems to me that slappy "fixed" this one other time (or it may have just been a similar glitch, I can't recall for sure).

Bummer.

So, how's life over here these days?

It's caused by two problems I was told by THE MAN . You know who .

The service provider is choking because of all the traffic. Almost 2200 members.Huge upsurge in growth lately.

Sometime over a hundred guys log in at one time.

The Blue Room traitors (uhm, members) are welcome to come back here. We have 3200 members and growing, and no problems with scalability at all.

I was sorry to see them leave but I'd be happy to have them back. Most of them.

Same old lovely attitude I see, nothing's changed, trying to belittle the membership, post censorship / deletion, banning,

I tried to give you a second chance, hoping you'd grown up, I'm gone.

Well I've tried to stay calm on this for the last year but I decided to add my 2 cents there.

3200? Yeah, right. ;)

It would seem Marc hasn't cleaned out accounts that haven't been active for quite a while. Maybe some cardboard cutouts to make it look like people are there? There are more like 100 active. FYI, we have about 2000 accounts that have been active in the last 9 months.

Not true, we're not maxing out our current resources yet. Server admins at the host ****** up a setting when adding a new account, and that's why we were having the problems earlier. Shouldn't be an issue anymore, until we get 100 people clicking to load a page at the same time, not in a 15 minute window.

From our homepage today:

"Most users ever online was 174 on Yesterday, 12:59 PM"

That "Blueroom" discussion may have very well been another nail in the coffin. WFO should pretty much seal the lid and fill the hole.

Well snowmonkey just slammed the top 5 posters here, too (is that ****-**** a member here?) As usual, I countered in my oh so eloquent style. Interesting to note they're up to a whopping 37 posts per day and that I was the only member logged on at the time.

Rogue, that 'Lord of the Forum' comment was priceless! BWAAAAA! :D

So, who the **** are you - the Emily Post of forums? Smack this, butch. :****:
Dude! I'm on your side. I was talking about people over there slamming people here and thinking nobody will ever know
Ya know, after I posted my retort, I thought you might be... Sorry! I'm glad your sense of humor is as ****** up as mine! :D

I'm going to make the strong suggestion that starting up a flame war on both boards about both boards is NOT going to help anything and just open old wounds.

In the cold light of day I'm wondering if I should have made the comment I did.

Let me suggest we all look inward on this issue and try and leave it alone. Resist the urge to scratch.
